Course Information

The 20K race will begin at 9:00 AM, with both races starting and finishing on Nichols Road near Winnequah Park and the Monona Pool in Monona, WI.

The 5K Run/Walk and the Lake Monona Pet 5K presented by Artepupp will begin at 9:15 AM. These races will follow the 20K route for approximately 1.5 miles, then loop around Winnequah Park before joining the final half mile of the 20K course to reach the finish line.

Start Line Protocol

20K Start Waves (Beginning at 9:00 AM)

The 20K will start in waves with short gaps between groups:

• Under 8:00 per mile: 9:00 AM

• Under 9:00 per mile: 9:01 AM

• Under 10:00 per mile: 9:03 AM

• Under 11:00 per mile: 9:05 AM

• All remaining participants: 9:06 AM

5K Start Waves (Beginning at 9:15 AM)

• Under 10:00 per mile: 9:15 AM

• Under 12:00 per mile: 9:17 AM

• All remaining participants: 9:18 AM

The dog-friendly wave will start at the back of the 5K field. Participants running with dogs should line up behind the final wave.

Please note that the course cutoff time is 12:00 PM.

Aid Stations

There will be five aid stations along the 20K course and one aid station on the 5K course.

Each 20K aid station will include:

• Water

• Gatorade

• Portable restrooms

Aid Station #3 will also provide energy gels.

The 5K aid station will provide water only.

• Aid Station #3: Mile 7.6 (approx.) – Gels available

• Aid Station #4: Mile 9.5 (approx.)
